Celebrate 61 years of Art on the Rocks! Art on the Rocks™ has grown to one of the finest art shows in the country, attracting over 140 artists and 10,000 people each year sandwiched between Marquette’s historic downtown and the Cinder Pond Marina on beautiful Lake Superior the weekend of July 27th and July 28th. Spend the perfect day (or days) on the shores of Lake Superior to hunt for the perfect piece or simply enjoy the scenery! First year here? Here are some helpful tips to take it all in:
First things first, scout it out
Do a loop or two around the vendors the day of. If you’re really interested you can even check out the 2019 Art on the Rocks' artist list ahead of time.
Bring friends or family along
Realistically, your perfect piece might be heavier than one can handle or you might need a second opinion.
Take an occasional break
Enjoy the sunshine, lake, and local food vendors!
Bring backup cash
While most vendors accept card, be prepared and bring a few spare dollars in cash.
